Speeding Initiative On RMW 10th March 2011
On the 11/03/2011 3 of my colleagues from shift 4 Tunstall carried out a traffic op using the speed lazer gun on the Reginald Mitchell way and Scotia road Tunstall.
We focused on the Reginal Mitchell way in the morning and the results were-
2 x issued with summons, and will be required to attend Court
1 x Fixed Penalty Notice (£30 fines)
4 X Advice
Scotia Road was then targeted in the afternoon..
3 x Advice given
1 x Arrest for disqualified driving.
For your attention
Once again, thank you for the requests to take part in a community speedwatch program, however, the way costs are going at the moment, the program is being slowed somewhat. I will keep all the requests on record and get back to those interested as soon as I can.
Thanks also to all those following on Twitter. My name is @goldenhillpc, and I'm on most days.
Matt - once again thanks for the sterling work on the site. I know the hard work you put in, so once again thanks.

Hi PC Talbot,
Would I be able to ask at what time you collected your information and for how long?
many thanks,

The information was passed to me by PC Faulkner from Shift 4 at Tunstall. As mentioned, the initiative lasted all day on Thursday, and concentrated on RMW in the morning and Scotia Road in the afternoon. I'm told that after Officers set up, the actual patrol time was 9pm to 12 noon. Obviously as each one is stopped then they have to be dealt with, and if you seize a vehicle it can take over an hour.
Hopefully there will be more in the future.
