It's been years since I've

It's been years since I've been down there. My Dad grow up in Smallthorne, so when we visited my Nan we used to go into the park and feed the ducks and swans. I must go back. Where's the best place to park? Would it be on Ford Green Hall?

Also here's a set of photosI took on Saturday around West Port Lake

We took a walk around

We took a walk around Chatterley Whitfield a couple of Sundays ago. There's a circular path that runs from the Chatterley Whitfield Enterpise park (Biddulph side) and crosses a path that runs through Ford Green Hall to Congleton. There's a car park on Ford Green Hall which I guess you could use, else park on the road at the other end - Chatterley Whitfield Enterprise Park (its virtually unused).

It was interesting to see the old colliery buildings up close. It must have been very busy place back in the day.

Also there's a kids playground just off the path (on Fegg Hayes side) to break up the route for the kids.

Take your wellies if its wet !
