I have had this treatment
I have had this treatment from Mr Whalley, of which I challenged his lies.
I was labeled (according to Mr Whalley) "the biggest racist in the city" and that I was kicked out of the council chamber for making false accusations,.
Both total lies for which I have had no apology.
There followed a leaflet by the UAF and Nor scarf with similar lies stating that I was thrown out of the BNP by Alby Walker for being too extreme?
Another Lie.
Both aimed at (I believe ) blackening my name prior to this years Election.
I had no intention of standing due to ill health.
So I'm not surprised at Craig Pond has come under the sights of those with an axe to grind.
Just to state that Craig Pond, myself and Sam Tunstall left the BNP, we did not get kicked out for being too extreme.
In my opinion, If Craig Pond gets elected at least he will stir the council up and get things done, because he won't back down to anyone.

i went through some of the articles listed in the link to pits and pot and to be honest craig does not come across well in his own comments and delving further back there was some pretty outragous stuff said. i do worry if craig will get on the wrong side of everyone who disagrees with him council works and residents alike. i hope he can act professionally if it came to him representing goldenhill and sandyford

Craig Pond, Dave Sutton & Megan Ryan have had emails with their set of questions in yesterday, Craig came back last night. Martin Garner has had his via his wife's work and personal email address (no response).
I've emailed the Stoke Lib Dems website and awaiting a response.
Candidates hitting the Bankeyfields estate for our votes - evenings are best, otherwise you'll find most people are out at work.

How come there no Conservative candidate, there was a local Conservative candidate who stood last year and she lived in Tunstall?
I am told that the Tories have not put anybody up because they are supporting Megan Ryan as she is a member of their Conservative and Independent Alliance and nearly joined the Tory party. I expect this is the same reason why there is no Conservative candidate standing against Lee Wanger in Tunstall either.

3/ Our R/A is Backing Mohammid Matloob, because he is by far the best candidate.
He is honest and has our respect.

I'm creating a new bit tonight that will bring in all of the candidates Q & A's. However only Craig Pond for Goldenhill and Sandyford and Ian Norris - Ford Green Hall and Smallthorne have come back. I think it's quite telling who responds quickly and who doesn't. Even a reply saying thanks for the email I'll get back to you shortly.
I see this process as a way of seeing not only polices but also can work well and who doesn't.
I've not got all of the contact email addresses for everyone yet, so trying to get these out to everyone. I'll see if AIT can help.

Jon, we left the BNP because for many months after working many hours on local policy's (Cheap Affordable,Housing, Veggie oil fueled Vehicles, and green recycling) Alby Walker would not even put them forward for the council, but passed them over without thought or reason.
We now know why.
Craig is abrasive but as you have read those posts you will also have noticed that he only replied in the way he was spoken too.
Its up too the voters but with Craig you get what you see.
Somebody that will not bow down to council pressure to close Homes, Swimming Pools, and Libraries.

What I've always wondered about is how much of the oil could be produced locally. I can't imagine all of it, but there are plenty of fields that I can see from where I'm sitting, most doing nothing so the space is there.
What plant would you grow? Do we have the right climate? Is it expensive to convert the vehicles to run off it? Could I run my diesel car from it?

When the original tenders went out for recycling collection many years ago, one of the companies that submitted also included as part of tender offer to collected used oil from takeaways and convert to bio fuel, but not accepted

Matt, we spent some considerable time looking at sensible green options, one of which was a company that sold the plant to convert 7 million litres of veggie oil a year into vehicle fuel. The name of the company is Bio-Pod, well worth a look.
Any vehicle over 7 tonnes doesn't need to be converted, it can run on veggie oil, the fuel pump needs changing on anything smaller to a Bosch item, but during the converting process, chemicals can be added that thin out the oil, making it far easier to use through an injector system.
When you take in to account the number of schools and public buildings that will have used veggie oil, the takeaways and chip shops, canteens, restaraunts, NHS, you could literally save £millions over the life of the equipment, and as ever, this would provide jobs.

Basicaly, plant is rape seed, and does grow in our climate.
Alternatively used cooking oil.
The conversion for any diesel car costs about £250.
I know of mechanics that I worked with that used cooking oil in deisel engines (without conversion kit) to a 50/50 mix with no problems, after starting off at 90% deisel/10%oil and working up to the 50/50 mix.
The old oil from (after filtering) chip shops/ take aways is usable.
We worked it out that council vehicle conversion would save nearly half of the cost of running the fleet.

John H there is an excellent article that was printed in the national Press slating the Lie's of the cuts being spread by Labour and the unions.
Lets have the facts, like the £41 million "invested" in the Debt Management Office, when they are crying "we are skint and will have to close Homes for the elderly, Swimming pools, Libraries"?
The savings made amount to £460,000 which could be easily achieved (if it was necessary) by sacking just 3 of the incompetent high paid officers in the civic, responsible or the mess the city is in.
You only have to look at the city's financial mismanagement over the last 10 years to see where the blame lies, and its not the Tory's.
