Poor Tabby Cat Killed on Dual Carriageway

A poor tabby cat has been killed on the dual carriageway, he has black and grey tabby markings and is quite a big chap with no collar. My husband moved him from the road and has placed him on the grass verge to prevent any further vehicles hitting him. It was only a few months back that we went through this with out poor Sam so we know exactly how this feels. The cat was still there at 5pm when we returned home, if anyone knows who he may belong to - it would be good for him to be moved from the roadside.
