Gatorade Big Half Triathlon & Trentham Triathlon
Sunday 10th July

The Gatorade BIG HALF Triathlon is the perfect triathlon challenge set in the fantastic grounds of Trentham Gardens. The shallow lake swim has been vastly improved and the event is an ideal pre event to the UK Ironman Triathlon. If the longer distance BIG HALF Triathlon is not for you then there are 3 other events on the same day; the Sprint, Relay and Fun triathlons, that are run over basically the same course. All events are flat and fast, yet testing enough for any first time or experienced triathlete. The venue for all the events and the relay triathlon is the idyllic country setting of Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire, which is only a 5 minute drive from junction 15 of the M6. The BIG HALF Triathlon will be one of the most prestigious events in Great Britain in 2011 and is a must do for any triathlete!

Distances

BIG HALF: 1.2 mile Swim - 58 mile Cycle - 13.1 mile Run

BIG HALF Relay: 1.2 mile Swim - 58 mile Bike - 13.1 mile Run (One competitor for each leg!)

Fun: 200 metre Swim - 20 km Cycle - 2.5 km Run

Sprint: 500 metre Swim - 20 km Cycle - 5 km Run

For the Triathlon all you will need is
Swimming goggles (not compulsory but recommended), swimming costume or trunks, bicycle (must be road worthy), cycle helmet & running shoes or trainers.
