Bogus Gardeners Crime Alert

We have a report of men offering to do gardening work in the Biddulph area at the homes of elderly people. They are offering to cut hedges for £200. In one case, they have taken £40 off an elderly lady - but done no work because it was not the full amount.

They are in a white van with 'Gardening supplies' on the side and are wearing blue jumpers which makes them look official.

If seen please contact the police and refer to incident number 347 of the 23rd May.
