On the 7 June 2011 Stoke-on-Trent will once again host the action packed national cycle race the Halfords Tour Series, which will see the country's elite riders go head to head against each other to become the overall champions of The Halfords Tour Series. There will be activities taking place on the track and brand new for 2011- a Halfords activity arena. Date set for eighteenth Canals Festival

Thousands of people will once again be able to enjoy a weekend on the water as Stoke-on-Trent’s Canals Festival returns for its eighteenth year. The festival, held at the Etruria Industrial Museum, will take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5, June 2011 and will include a host of attractions to entertain all ages, as well as live music, stalls and a selection of traditional boats. The festival, which has run since 1993, is one of the biggest free community events held in the city.
