Enst & Young administrators have sold a further 13 Focus DIY stores including the Tunstall stall to Wickes Building Supplies, a subsidiary of Travis Perkins.

The sale will save the jobs of all 345 associated employees.

In the past few weeks of trading since Focus went into Administration stores have been trading at record levels.

Locally people wondered what was to become of the stall, after BQ bought 31 stores, but turned down Tunstall Focus as it was to near to it's Talke and Festival Park stores.

Focus DIY was founded in 1987 and has annual sales of about £450m.

The retailer came close to administration in 2009 when BDO insolvency practitioners arranged a Company Voluntary Arrangement to restructure and repay a percentage of debts over a contracted period of time.
