More Speeding Accidents on John Rhodes Way as the Ernest Edgerton takes a knock
In recent months Stoke on Trent City Council have told us that the roads of Bankeyfields are safe and should be free from speeding.
However we all know this is nonsense and happens on a daily basis as cars travel up the estates small windy roads, where children are present in higher numbers with out a care, at speeds over 30mph.
The problem has been more apparent recently as there have been more children playing along side the roads, or walking to the park to play, only to have cars thunder past. The crazy thing is the drivers who are speeding don't even slow when they spot a child.
This problem is just down to visitors to our estate, but to residents, and residents with children in the cars.
20's Plenty, we need the whole estate to come together to make this happen. So do you sit on the fence, or do you get off it and support your RA?
Bankeyfields Residents Association Meeting will be held on the 17th May 2011 @ the firestation starting at 7:00pm.
If you have to come later, come later.

new to the meeting
Another thought, if you do
Another thought, if you do manage to get the go ahead to become a 20mph, could we see if the local schools could run a competition and get some posters done to go up on lampposts, I know some schools have done this, would also come across from a child's perspective might get a more positive response from some of the drivers

Its ok For Enerst Edgerton to take a knock as he was a councillor, the rest of the roads on Swallows Rise are named after Victoria Cross winners. So they are important.
How about using those 20mph
How about using those 20mph stickers you get for wheelie bins only on display 1 day a week but look effective I think
