Only 30% of locals in this area have a right to complain about the state of things - use your vote!

It only takes about 2-3 minutes to vote, if you drive, about 5 minutes to get to a polling station.

This is one of the most important votes that you will find yourself voting in, in the attempt to deal with local matters.

If your local environment and issues does not concern you, then you have no need to vote.

However if just one issue in the area has bothered you, then you really need to vote tomorrow/today (thursday 5th may 2011) at the polling station on your polling card.

Over the past weeks, I've done my very best to bring the words of the candidates to you the public, so you should be able to get some idea of who would best serve this ward.

Don't waste your right as a citizen of your area, and for all of the deaths of the past 100 of years to ensure our way of life. Make this vote the one that you give a damn about. Remember if you'd don't vote.

In my ward Goldenhill & Sandyford, we have now heard from all of the candidates, Craig Pond, Dave Sutton, Martin Garner, Matthew Wyman and finally Megan Ryan, and from other wards, we've heard from the likes of Ian Norris, Lesley Adams,

Nice one Lesley, perhapse a

Nice one Lesley, perhapse a certain gent is in training to nurse the sick city of Stoke on Trent back to full health now that they have spent what they havnt got on things we dont want and left us inthe s**t the view is lets put a sticky plaster on it and it will get better (they hope), but it will not. Also the trouble with Stoke and voting is that everyone automaticaly assumes Labour will get in, even if they come out to vote for change so in the end they dont bother to vote at all. I didnt attent the hustings as i was at work but as i have already made up my mind it sounds as if i had come nothing would have been said to change that.

Polls close at 10:00 surely

Polls close at 10:00 surely there is enough time in the day to pop to your nearest station to vote.
I'll be heading over during my lunch break to the SummerBank School Polling Station.

i dont think thats lazy marks

i dont think thats lazy marks thats common sense, i didnt realise until last night that you can use your postalvote in the polling station on the day.
anyway ive just posted my vote, and it wasnt for a nail in the coffin of this area. im sure i dont need to tell you which h20 related person that is. im not saying who i voted for, but i will say who i 200% didnt vote.
one of the officals at the polling station said the turn out has been poor today.
The only reason there was a 28% turn out last was because it was a general election, people turned out for the main vote. after what labour has done to this area and the then mps did to the country i would have hoped for a 100% turnout
people are so ready to vote for xfactor, but not this. when it comes to your civil liberties, the way your streets and facilities are kept or not as the case has been or how yobbos on the streets are tackled people dont give a stuff. fools all that dont use that most precious right.
webmonkey it took 20 minutes as i had to get a paper

Not haveing your polling card

Not haveing your polling card should stop you from voting.
With postal votes this makes it open to fraud in such a simple way.
Example I know of a family that are away on holiday so it would be only too easy to walk into the polling station and use there address to vote.
Last year there were 27 cases of fraud reported.

totally agree with you terry,

totally agree with you terry, the system needs to fix up a slight bit to stop fraud votes being counted. i.e. a lot of questions have been raised about this years election. it must stop.

Congratulations to Mrs

Congratulations to Mrs Monkey, who graced the polling booths with her presence for the first time in donkeys years. Note to all candidates without a logo though, you made it very tricky for her to X a box Wink

I'd just like to thank all of the candidates who helped out in this local q/a session. It's helped me to make my mind up, and it's really helped me to see who would be the best person to have up there. I've learnt a few lessons as well during this process, so I'm looking forward to what tomorrow brings.
