Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic accident outside the Globe, Sandyford on Sunday Night

Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident in which a silver Peugeot 106 heading towards Sandyford from the Goldenhill region crashed into and destroyed the wall outside The Globe Pub, on the High Street, Goldenhill.

Police were called to the scene at 10:40pm Sunday evening. The driver of the 106 and his two passengers all suffered injuries.

The landlord of the Globe Edward Lawton considered the occupants fortunate as they could have killed.

The police latter arrested the driver of a second car in connection with the incident.

Any witnesses to the crash should call Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 4455, quoting incident number 774 of May 15.
