St Johns -1st World War memorial stone - Burslem

this 1st World War memorial stone stands in St Johns Church grounds ,
there are several repeated surnames - perhaps brothers or cousins .
they are all from the Barnfields area in Burslem .

In memory and honour of the men from Branfields who fell in the
Great War 1914-1919

Thanks for the picture, my mothers family all attended St Johns Curch from birth untill they married and moved to other parts of S on T, apart from the only boy who was the eldest he died in France during the 1st W.W. (so i am told). I have never been to the church myself but over the years i have heard lots about it, from my mum and aunts, one of my aunts used to play the piano and several members of the family of sang in the choir. I always remember mum telling me about running around Molly Lee's grave singing "Molly Lee Molly Lee can't catch me" you were supposed to do this 3 times but non of the kids did it more than twice in case she turned up.
