Burslem Pottery Summer Signing Event and Launch of the 6 Towns

The Burslem Pottery Summer 2011 signing event is taking place on 23rd July between 10am and 4.30pm at the Barewall Studio, Market Place Burslem, Stoke on Trent. It will be a showcase of studio ceramics and art pottery made in Stoke on Trent. All ware purchased on the day will be signed by the artists and existing collectors are welcome to bring any unsigned ware along for signing.

This is a free event that welcomes existing and new collectors to come along and see the exciting work produced by artists Tracy Bentley and Stephen Shaw who model, draw, sgraffito and paint the beautiful ware produced by Burslem Pottery, as well as to see them giving live demonstrations.
This special event will also be the official launch of The '6 Towns' Heritage Range by Burslem Pottery. A new range of hand sgraffito, hand painted vases, tiles and lamps inspired by and featuring each of the 6 towns of The Potteries; Burslem, Tunstall, Fenton, Longton, Hanley and Stoke.

Barewall are proud to host the first event held by Burslem Pottery (formally part of Cobridge Stoneware a sister company of Moorcroft) since owner and premier ceramic artist Tracy Bentley took over. Other collectable ranges including The Grotesque Birds, Fish and Marine will also be on display and special trial and one off pieces will be available on the day. A special free gift will be given to customers buying the first pieces of the new ‘6 Towns’ range on the day.

Through many years of specialist training and experience Burslem Pottery have designed and produced their ware and never moreso has The Potteries been celebrated in this way; hand sgraffito, hand painted, scenes of The Potteries, on pots, made and sold in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, at the very heart of the creation of English ceramics.
