Fire behind the Goldenhill late shop

If you are waking up this morning (Tuesday) to the spell of burnt rubber, then you'll be breathing in the left overs of last nights tyre fire.

Tyres behind the Coop were alight at approx 22:00 with a fire crew in attendance tackling the blaze.

A huge cloud could be seen floating over the bankeyfields estate, growing thicker towards the fire.

The smell of burnt tyres could be smelt as far away as Tunstall Asda.

No information about how the tyres came to be set alight is available at this moment.
