We had a really good time at

We had a really good time at the fun day on saturday, and as arranged (according to Father John) the weather didn't turn rainy until after the event was over.

The event was well planned, executed and enjoyed, you couldn't ask for more, so well done to all of those involved.

Because the kids were too busy fleecing us on the rides and stalls, we didn't get to go inside the community hall (except to buy a raffle ticket), but by all accounts the dance troupe and stalls inside were well liked.

My only gripe is my son made be go on the mega fast twirly ride with a bit of a hangover and dodgy curry tummy.

I also got a pleasant surprise last night when the phone rung with SAGE secretary Tom Simpson on the other end. I thought something serious had happened and it was a Neighbourhood alert, but in fact it was a phone call to say my raffle ticket was picked at random, winning first prize. Afternoon Tea for five with the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent.

I wonder if I can get the Lord Mayor's official endorsment of MyTunstall?
