Tunstall Pool celebrates it's 121st birthday today alone, but with hope after last nights public meeting

Last night saw members of the public, business and council listen to Tunstall Community Pool Trust business & fundraising plans.

Father John Stather, Vicar for both Tunstall's Christ Church and Goldehill's St Joe's said

Tunstall Pool opened 121 years ago today the 28th July 1890. The Pool has served the community well in this time still preserving some of its Victorian feel and contents.

It is essential that the pool can be reopened for the people of Tunstall and beyond. The pool can only reopen if people are united and help to raise the funds required.

  • Strip to swimming costume
  • eat a cream bun
  • swim the length of the pool
    • swim through hoops
  • swim back
  • peel a potato
