Barnet v Port Vale 13th August 2011
Port Vale travel to Barnet for their first away fixture of the season tomorrow. The game goes ahead at 3pm after doubt was cast regarding the fixture due to the riots in London.
Port vale may be without the injured skipper Marc Richards, but hopefully that is their only injury doubt. Gareth Owen could be in line to return after his recent injury problems. Last time the Valiants travelled to Underhill was the last game of last season which they lost 1-0 ensuring barnet stayed in the League and Lincoln City were relegated to the Conference.
Barnet have made a very good start, with two 1-0 wins, at Morecambe in the League and at Portsmouth in the Carling Cup, so they will be full of confidence and all guns blazing ready to face the Vale. Also uncluded in their squad is former Vale skipper Tommy Fraser who Micky Adams has recently said he is dissapointed that Fraser is still not at Vale, after the plaer was transfered by former manager Jim Gannon.
Vale lost 4-2 in midweek Carling Cup to Huddersfield and with the added spice of new investment on the horizon Vale are hoping this weekend they can get the full 3 points.
Heres hoping the Travelling Valiants come back with the maximum points and start that push up the league.
Up The Vale.

Let's hope we don't have a wobbly start to this season. I'm hoping Micky Adams can fire the players up again and go out to win.
