Next month sees the reutn of Sandyford Cricket Club's much celebrated Beer Festival (the 5th one in fact)
The Sandyford Cricket Club's 5th Annual Beer Festival Started this week 26th October 2011 and will run until Saturday. We've got a great selection of beers and ciders, have a look at the list below.

THE ALES
Wicking Hour (4.4%)
A clear wheat beer, dry and astringent on the palate leading to a strong, dry finish.
JHB (3.8%)
Lemon, grapefruit and spicy hop notes abound on the palate leading to a strong, dry finish.
Lemon Dream (4.5%)
A premium bitter with a citrus flavour and complex hop finish. Refreshing and crisp.
Hawkshead Red (4.2%)
An impressive colour for this richly flavoured beer, lots of fruitiness and good hop flavour with a lingering aftertaste.
Bellowhead (4.5%)
Alight coloured bitter with a citrus hoppy finish. Brewed with the help of local band Bellowhead.
Farmers Stout (4.5%)
A dark stout with roasted malts and flaked oats and a subtle, bitter hop character.
Undertaker (4.5%)
A dark, complex beer full of malt and underlying bitter characteristics with a long, bitter finish.
Scrummage (4.7%)
A deceptively strong ale, full of malt character, with a long, refreshing finish.
Big Tree (3.9%)
A golden bitter, full bodies with a good balance of hops and fruit.
Jaipur (5.9%)
Flavoursome India Pale Ale, packed with citrus hoppiness counter-balanced by malt and underlying sweetness and robust fruit flavours.
THE CIDERS
Cheddar Valley Medium (6.0%)
The colour of this unique cider gives it a vibrant character all of its own for those who want an alternative refreshing drink with a touch of natural sparkle.
Naturally fermented, Cheddar Valley is matured in oak vats to ensure the distinctive full flavour is retained.
Bounds Brand (4.8%)
Cloudy and still. A true draught cider that is a good strength for drinking by the pint.

THE TIME HAS COME, SCC can finally announce the beers and ciders coming to this years festival! Kicking off tomorrow at 7pm and running through till 11pm on Saturday. Being a light weight I went for the Bounds Brand, but it was very nice.

Big thanks to all who attended the Beer Festival over the last week. All the beers ended up sold out late on Saturday, which has helped make it the most sucessful beer fstival to date!
The beer festival is part of the year round fund raising events carried out by the club which bring in vital funds for continung the work that goes on at the club and support the enjoyment of the many local people in the communtiy who use its facilites.
