80 Jobs to be Axed

All 80 Co-operative Travel jobs at a Burlsem call centre are set to be axed, with the jobs heading 102 miles to Peterborough.

Another kick in the teeth for this area as Johnson Tiles announced yesterday that staff had bneen made redundant following a 30 day consultation period.

Where is this going to end up there is absolutley nothing in this area for anyone it is about time our area stood up for itself and told the world why we need investment and jobs we are good people hard working honest & reliable. If only companies gave us a chance.
