A elderly friend of mine Freda has asked for a set of photos taken by Freda's Husband from the 1970's to be added onto MyTunstall/MyBurslem for people to have a look at and reminisce over.

Theres a couple of images of Burslem park, one of Newcastle fountain on the roundabout, One of Hanley (I think or it could be Newcastle).

There are also a acouple of unknown photos so they might get people guessing where they were took, it would be great to find out where,

A great set of images, it was like seeing Burslem again through the eyes of a little boy.

I was born in Burslem in 1945

I was born in Burslem in 1945 and I so remember all parts of Boslem,I played in the park every summer holiday as I lived just above the top gates,it was such a busy park and the there was a great shop in the pavilion for sweets and drinks,we spent hours watching the bowls teams and tennis matches, and the summerhouse on the top of the rockery was where we girls played house, happy memories, and I am pleased to see that the park is been restored to the beauty I remember. Thanks Dereth for printing them up.I don,t remember the second photo the half circle of stones, perhaps it was added at a later date,I was married in 1966 and moved more towards Tunstall so that became the park my children grew up in,and I am pleased to see how that park is also being restored.
