Why is nothing being done to the mindless idiots who are parking on double yellow lines on the outer edge of the main rounder-bout leading into Tunstall no more than 300 yards from the police station?

Well, you can draw your own
Well, you can draw your own conclusions. But should these people be subjected to the law, it could result in 400 MEN demanding the police investigate how they have handled the situation. Tricky, isn't it?
U should think before u type
U should think before u type otherwise u will be makin more enemies than friends. What if u were in there shoes and lost someone like that.
Cheeky, whilst the Tunstall
Cheeky, whilst the Tunstall Chamber of Trade and Cllr Lee Wanger are looking into the parking issues in town, you are probably best leaving your comments about your proposals for that stretch of road.
Check it out here http://mytunstall.co.uk/11/12/tunstall-parking-and-road-change-suggestio...
Dungwit, tensions with the Asian community and the police are already strained without stirring them further with comments like that. All sorts are parking there, not just Taxi's. If you feel so strongly, take the Stoke-on-Trent City Council Taxi number and report it or look further into reviews about Taxi licensing.

Web monkey, Without showing
Web monkey,
Without showing my comment, which doesn't mention Asians, and then making your comment, you leavee open to all sorts of accusations of racism.
Incidentally, you mention that the tension between the police and the Asian community sets the criteria for moderating this forum. Surely this means that we are at the mercy of mob rule? Has it come to this? Censorship if ones views don't meet with the angry mob?
I've published it Andy, you
I've published it Andy, you say it doesn't mention the Asian community, so what does the reference to 400 men allude to?
The situation is clearly different from a investigation in which some one lost their life, and 6 others were locked up after a street brawl.
Agreed Web Monkey,the
Agreed Web Monkey, the situation is different from a investigation in which some one lost their life, however, that doesn't mean that the parking issue should be ignored. If that were the case, and we were to follow the logic, then every crime committed by an Asian should be overlooked because the mob demand it.
I've made my feels know about
I've made my feels know about this problem to both Lee Wanger, chamber of trade and previous councillors and on here numerous times.
I've seen people/idiots of all greeds pulling up there and parking so let's not turn it into a race issue,
Force the issue on the link above by putting a case forward during a time when parking is being looked at.
Take your camera, stand in the car park behind the fence take photos and videos (it's a public area there are no laws to stop you) and run a campaign, get public support, high light the dangers.
The original comment doesn't
The original comment doesn't mention anything about race and shouldn't matter what race they are. They should be fined and given points.
At the end of the day they are breaking the law and should be dealt with accordingly.

Havnt we been down this road
Havnt we been down this road many times before??. To me it dosnt matter who is parking on the yellow lines, whoever they are they are not abiding with the law of the road when they do and are causing an obstruction. In the conditions we are experiencing at the moment it is mad to block exits on well used roads.
I am still confused as to why they park there and for such long times, they can not just be popping into the shop or barbers, there is more to it than that. Perhapse if we could truthfully find out why and look at the problem from all angles maybee it could be sorted.
Unless it just goes back to the fact that some car owners will not walk the few yards from a car park. Look at Tunstall High St thats a mixed bag of people who park there and it is just the same as the roundabout if not worse. People wander across the street between the cars, I have seen someone hit by a car reverse parking opposite the post office, and another grazed by a bus when they got out of a car parked in the bus lane. Some people to day are bone idle when parking and want to park in the doorway of the shop they are visiting.
I parked on the car park
I parked on the car park across the road the other day and paid 20p for 15 minutes. The week before I parked and didn't pay for 30 minutes. It's virtually empty, even less so now the pool is closed. It's just nuts.
