The clocks ticking for Valentines day and most people are thinking what am I going to buy this year?

Well, help is at hand with a quick 5 minute guide around Tunstall.

Gifts

First Stop on this whirlwind tour will have to be my favourite market in the whole wide world, Tunstall Market.

As you enter Tunstall Indoor Market you will come across Message in a Bottle, who offers a unique service in the area with personalised gift bottles filled with either Sweets, Bubble bath, Oils and so on.

You couldn't pick a better stall for your Valentine gift. Most of the bottles are unique and occasional, so it's well worth taking a look.

Next to Message in a Bottle is the Jewellery Box and the Tunstall Market Bag Shop. The bag shop has bags of all varieties for men and women, and the Jewellery Box is a treasure trove of gifts for both sexes.

Then it's over to the newest shop in the Market, Ye Olde Teddy Bear Shoppe to check out the bears on offer. The Ye Olde Teddy Bear Shoppe stocks a variety of Traditional, Classic and Vintage Teddy Bears starting from £6.

Whilst you're in Tunstall's indoor Market, check out the other stalls as well, especially on the side wall, the House 2 Home section as you'll find the staff are very helpful and can help you choose an appropriate gift.

Out of the market, House 2 Home also have a shop on the high street which is worth a inspection. In fact I'd go as far as saying you are going to be spoilt for choice!

Pamper

We all like to be pampered so check out what's on offer in Tunstall Square over at Beauty on the Square or opposite at The Loft

Flowers

Ladies love flowers, or so I've been told so it's worth making a note of the following Tunstall Florists, Copes Flourists and  Daisy Chain Florist as well as Goldenhill based  Pips & Petals

Cards and Paper

Finally you're going to need a card and possibly some wrapping paper.
You've got a number of options.
Firstly we've got two card shops on Tunstall's High Street, 4UCards or hand made cards from HobbyBook or if you're after a run of the mill type of card, you can always give ASDA Tunstall a try.

Dining for two

That's the first part over, how about a spot of romance and a meal for two. Again being in Tunstall, you are spoilt for choice.

For traditional food I'd recommend checking out MyTunstall's Tunstall Pub of 2011 (as voted by the public) The Furlong, or the very close runner up and highly recommended The Talisman whose chef and restaurant section of the pub comes highly recommended.

If traditional food isn't your thing then Tunstall also has a  number of Restaurants catering for your needs as well.

Buffet Fever, next to ASDA is open 7 days a week and you can choose from the set or buffet menu. Baba Khan's of Tunstall has  received some favourable reviews for it's setting and Indian cuisine.
Finally, we have Kashmir Garden, another Indian Restaurant which has earnt it's reputation over the years.

Keeping it Tunstall

just abit of advise to  the

just abit of advise to  the man/husbands  who  will be panicking about  getting  flowers/chocolates   for their loved ones-

i thought this might be useful  because  while walking in Morrisions  earlier today about 12 men  where looking very panicky, unsure and lost , these men where walking slowly  or standing around the  valentine flower  stand /area

firstly dont panic.

think  what  your wife/partner likes ,

do they have a favourite colour.

do they  like a favourite flower.

would they prefer a flower/plant  for the garden- so  they are reminded  of your gift

dont pick up the  first   bunch of flowers you   see.

remember  when you take the  flowers home  tonight  they will need to stand in water - for  tomorrow,
