Packmoor lady scoops £2,500 in Hospice Lottery
A resident of Packmoor has won £2500 in the Douglas Macmillan Hospices' Lottery.
Sam Gant from Packmoor, scooped the rollover prize in the weekly draw last Friday.
BBC Radio Stoke Presenter, Phil McCann pressed the all important 'button' on the day.
A delighted Sam said,
"I joined the Hospice Lottery in November 2010. My mum had just passed away at the Hospice from breast cancer; and by joining the Lottery, it was one way to say thank you to all the staff and volunteers who gave so much time, love and care to her and the immediate family; during her stay at the Hospice.
"We cannot thank the Dougie Mac enough; it only costs a pound a week to join, and you know taht the money goes to a fantastic local charity.
"I have already spent the money, as I have purchased a new car that I will pick up on Saturday."
The DMH Lottery has a weekly prize fund of £3500, with a first prize of £2000, plus a rollover prize which starts at £500, and if not won, is rolled over to the following week; up to a maximum of £10,000
By joining the Lottery, you will be helping to fund our specialist patient care services. Last year the Lottery raised over £500,000 for patient care.
