Wind Damage trees off Hoskins & Furlong Road and Signs damaged on James Brindley Way
I didn't realise just how bad the winds have been locally until passing the wooded area on the hill between James Brindley Way and the Hoskins Estate off Furlong Road. As I was heading from the Furlong Tavern this dinner time taking the path across the road from the pub which leads out on to James Brindley Way (Where Great Mills used to be!).
I was utterly amazed to see a number of trees had been bent right over either breaking in two or nearly breaking about three trees.
These trees looked fairly strong, but as you can see from the pictures they're not fit for much except fire wood. In once case the entire tree looked like it had bent all the way over before splitting.
A couple of minutes later, at the top of James Brindley Way I again witnessed the damage the past few weeks winds have caused, as a newly erected sign pointing to Churchills, the fire station and Genesis buildings had the top part of it's sign blown off.
Has anyone else noticed any other wind damage locally?

The sign outside the Genesis
The sign outside the Genesis Centre on the roundabout on Reginald Mitchell Way had its advertising boarding blowing off at the beginning of the week, sorry no photo taken as was driving at the time, although did report it to the owners of the Centre and the metal advertising space has come off not sure if it was removed or blown down.
