New shop in Goldenhill VEG 4 U offering fresh veg, florist and party accessories

Two weeks ago it was reported on this site that a council representative who looks after the interests of business and regeneration for the north of the City. Mr Reed told a packed audience at the Sandyford and Goldenhill Residents Association at Goldenhill Community Centre  who’d come hear what could be done to regenerate the north and often overlooked part of the city, were left very disappointed.

Basically because of the financial situation we are in and the focus of Stoke-on-Trent’s City Council is primarily on the city centre and trying to attract investors in the new “City Sentral” (Nope that’s not a spelling mistake) shopping centre and Business sector, any spare cash is none existent or being spent else where in the city.

So it’s always a pleasure to see a new business top open in a shop that has been closed for a while and secondly a new business opening and  offering a service locally that’s important for local people who don’t always have the means to take the journey into Tunstall or Kidsgrove when ever they’d like.

Debbie and Nigel building on the fresh vegetable home delivery service they’ve been running for the past year, decided to give their business a home, and also expand into the floral business as well.

Opening just last week, the shop has already had a lot of interest and support from locals. 

Veg 4 U offers a variety of fresh produce in store, and isn’t bagged so you only buy what you need.

Not only that, but Veg 4 U also has a floral service, and for any romantics a number of valentine gifts are on offer.

To complement the floral division of the shop, a extensive party items and cards are on offer.
