For the last half hour the snow has   fallen over the  Burslem.  sticking  quickly too .

But  for part of the morning  several  small  groups of kids have  walked over the frozen pond   on the Grange ,some  trying to break the ice while standing   on it ,  some just walking or running  over the surface .

The pond isnt  very deep   perhaps  4foot or so, but  why  do   kids  think its agood idea  to do this. theres so many  news stories   telling them of the danger  of it.

Absolulety crazy. You might know its 4ft deep but do they. 4ft is still deep enough to be dangerous. Did the police come out?

 police wouldnt come to

 police wouldnt come to  that,

wouldnt waste their time with  the call- as  80% of the time when something is happening  by kids on the fields and the police are called  -by the time they arrive   the  kids have  moved on.

several local residents told the   lads off   for  walking over the ice,  but  got a mouth full of *#**#.

yes 4foot is deep enough  to be dangerous , 1foot of water  can  be dangerous.

and the pond  does have the odd shopping trolley  pushed in to it  from time to time so   anything could  be in there,

as the pond is still  frozen  today  the  groups of  local kids   around dinner time  will perhaps have another "play" on it.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue had to save a man and dog in trouble in Tunstall Park at the weekend after the dog went into the lake and he tried to go in after it.

Anyway, here's a Video that Staffordshire Fire And Rescue have been putting out.
