Does anyone know how long the work that is going on down in Chatterley Valley going to last. I appreciate that this work may be essential but there must be a more environmentally friendly method of disposing all the tree’s that are being felled at the moment. For the past few weeks motorists and residents have had to endure plumes of smoke drifting across Reginald Mitchell Way depending on the wind direction the smoke is coming up over the estate too. If I wanted to smoke I would light a cigarette in the privacy of my home but as a none smoker and someone that has a Lung condition I am feeling increasingly fed up with having to breathe in this unnecessary pollution.

Yeah, it's being getting on my chest too, the night's air stunk of smoke up here on John Rhodes Way.
Hubby can't get any washing
Hubby can't get any washing out on the washing line yet despite it being a gorgeous day. Everything would be tinged with smoke if he did. I hope they hurry up and finish.
My worry is that before they
My worry is that before they started clearing the knotweed it may have been chemically treated to kill it off but this has failed that is why they have resorted to cutting it out. So what chemicals will be airborne when they burn it off? What is the impact on the wildlife too?
