Chainsaw Carvings

view counter

Hi all I thought I would share some pictures of some Chainsaw sculptures produced by Midlands artist - Fred Woods (my Dad!!). Fred creates wooden sculptures from logs or part felled trees. Often this is part of a town fair or exhibition so the work can be viewed. On Monday we attended an unvieling of a highland cow made by Fred at Banktock Park, near Wolverhampton as highland cows were once kept by the Bantock Famiy. The piece is made from red sequoia and stands approx 4ft high. Some of you may have seen some of Fred's other exhibits such as the Michelin Man at Trentham Gardens or the owls at Amerton Farm.
