Britain’s Got Talent winner, Waterloo Road and Street Dance 2 star George Sampson has teamed up with Ryman Stationery to officially launch a new, limited edition Beanie Bear, known as mini Humphrey; that will be sold in the Tunstall Ryman store in support of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.
George, who is a patron of the charity, was joined at the launch by the real Humphrey to see the very first mini Humphrey sold at the Ryman store in Manchester Arndale. The bears will then go on sale at Ryman stores across the North West of England, as well as at the children’s hospital in Manchester.
The beanie bears, which will go on sale for £4.99 with a least £1.50 being donated to the charity, are part of the long term charitable support that stationery firm, Ryman and their Chairman, Theo Paphitis, have shown to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
George, who has previously taken on Humphrey in a street dance battle, commented: “Children at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital love Humphrey, as he helps to brighten up their day when they are in hospital. It is great that thanks to Ryman, people will now be able to own their own Humphrey whilst also helping to make a difference to children in hospital.”
Ryman stationery Chairman Theo Paphitis said, “George is a wonderful ambassador for the hospital and it’s great that he gave his time to visit our store in the Arndale Centre. There were many happy customers and store staff who were thrilled to meet him and hear more about the fundraising initiative.”
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity is raising money to ensure continued excellence in treatment, care and research at the hospital – improving the lives of thousands of children each year across the North West and beyond.
