Police are now in a position to name the man who died following a road traffic collision in Sandyford, Stoke-on-Trent.

The collision occurred just before 6.10pm last night, Wednesday, on Reginald Mitchell Way (on the traffic island at the junction of Marlborough Way) and involved a red ‘Boom’ motor tricycle.

Mr Handley’s family have released the following statement: “Loving husband, father and grandfather who suddenly passed away in Sandyford on his beloved trike last night, August 8.

“Dave was a valued member of Potters Trikes and will be sadly missed and forever loved.

“At this time we, the family, would prefer to be left alone to grieve our loss.”

We have never met Dave or his

We have never met Dave or his family but would like to leave a message out of respect. From what we have been reading, Dave was obviously a nice chap and it is so tragic what has happened. We would like to give our deepest sympathy to all of his family and his friends. We hope you all find the strength to get through this difficult time. May you rest in peace Dave. God Bless you all x
