Second shooting in Goldenhill this year, as bungalow comes under armed attack
Armed Police closed off parts of Kidsgrove Road last night after shots were fired at a bungalow on the street smashing door and window glass.
Police were called to a report of damage at an address in Kidsgrove Road, Goldenhill, Stoke-on-Trent, in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 14 August.
Officers attended and following an initial examination of the scene it is believed the damage had been caused by an unidentified firearm. Due to this armed officers also attended the location.
No one was injured during the incident and detectives are investigating the circumstances.
A 26-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested in connection with this incident and taken into custody where he will be questioned.
CI Adrian Roberts, commander of Stoke-on-Trent North Local Policing Team (LPT), said: “A stretch of Kidsgrove Road was cordoned off whilst officers dealt with this incident and the address will remain cordoned off for an extensive forensic examination.
“At this stage it would appear that this was a targeted incident involving people who are known to each other and I would like to reassure local residents of this. Neighbourhood officers will be in the area to offer support to local residents and anyone with concerns can speak to them.”

I saw this taped off a week or two back. Then no tape. Then taped up again this week.
There's a broken from windows looking out onto the street. Hopefully it was just an air gun they were shooting.
