Oultons Farm shop opened this week on Newcastle Street .Dalehall .
ITS A REAL FARM SHOP.
Mark and Marie Oulton already have a successful company delivering fruit and veg door to door in the city but thought that there was a need for a fresh food shop with in the Burslem /Dalehall community .
Seasonal veg is grown at their family farm in Betley , and their hens and ducks produce the eggs in the shop.
the opening hours are 9.30am to 6pm Tuesday - Saturday
closed Monday and Sunday .
theres free local delivery on orders - phone Mark on 07811 16 53 83 or Marie on 07775 21 54 21 for more details ,
but i would recommend a visit to their shop too to see the vast amount of fresh veg and fruit, daily baked bread, jams and cakes, butter , milk for sale.
as one of their customers - (I saw their shop as I passed on my way to Newcastle) -its fantastic that a new shop of quality has opened - a shop that sells food and also isn't a takeaway ,
There's also hot beef baps for sale . I had one and it was delicious .
Marie and Mark and their Daughters are very friendly . the farm shop is just what the community need , the prices are good , the farm food fresh and grown local,

Oultons farm shop in middleport is a fantastic and friendly place to go. As a customer they make you feel welcome and are always there to answer any questions you may have the food is really good you cant beat fresh fruit and veg speaking to the people of the community this as been a long awaited business just what was needed i wish Marie and Mark and the family all the success for the future.

Hi, just wondered if you did you get my message about gluten free batter?.. also just wanted to add..., being a few doors from the co op (although i have to say co op fresh food is anything but fresh,, or cheap) maybe isnt the best location.. the town centre needed you so much more.. a lovely shop on Queens st is sitting empty, or the old T&A on the CROSSROADS.. would have got you thousands of passing trade daily.. a little "Arkwrights style" shop double fronted would be a great idea... i do hope you do well .. and hope the locals of middleport (who love fastfood) will eat fresh veg... (there is a shop selling veg in town, but locals state its never open or has much to offer...) we get hundreds in our shop through the week,, and i have to tell you the NEED for a fresh fruit n veg seems huge in town.. requested by OAPS who dont like Asda or cant get there.. hopefully you cover these with deliveries so good on ya! xx ps how much and how big are your potato sacks...?

Sorry we've taken so long to reply, been so busy with the new shop i've only just looked at this site! You're right we don't have a lot of passing trade which is why we hope to give a good reliable delivery service.
Unfortunately we don't carry gluten-free batter but i will try to source it for you if you still want me to!.
Our Home Grown Wilja potatoes are only £5.99 for 25kg, they chip, mash, boil and roast brilliantly!
We are also offering Free Range Turkeys, Geese and Chickens which we rear ourselves and Christmas Trees (all delivered Free of course within a 2 mile radius).

Ah, I've been passing this driving and just spotted this: will definitely call in. Lots of luck to you Marie and Mark.
Although I'd agree that it would be lovely to see a similar shop in the centre of Burslem, the last one that tried it wasn't supported enough unfortunately. On Newcastle Road you have lots of passing car trade and people can stop for free. But I do agree that deliveries into the town centre for older people would be excellent.
If you are sourcing gluten free food, I would sometimes put in an order as well. Sidenote: @Julie, our gluten-free fish & chips just brought tonight have been a great success!

i agree with Clare - theres just not enough passing trade in Burslem. but as the Oulton Farm shop is located on one of the busy main roads - theres hundreds of people that pass this area. and if people are incline to support independent shops then people will stop and have a browse,and hopefully buy.
theres free parking very close by, and theres more houses around this area where people can easily walk to the shop.
Marie- the flyers you mentioned perhaps it would benefit your shop to post them around the St Johns housing area .

Oulton farm shop continues to sell good quality fruit and veg, and they are also selling home breed Lamb and Beef , i can recommend the lamb chops and lamb joints (100% lamb ). give them ago its local meat .

Thanks to all our customers for such good support over the past few months!! we now have some amazing deals on your cant miss!! these are some examples of our deals now on - we have our 'home-reared' lamb at 803 per~Kilo. also a leg of lamb and 4 lamb chops for £12! 'home-reared' abadeen angus beef at 836 per~kilo or a piece of beef and 4 lamb chops for £12. also best pork sausages at 572 per~kilo 'approx 6per bag'. also a leg of pork, 4 pork chops and a bag of sausages for £12.
