Changes to Burslems Roads Approved

Officers have approved the recommended scheme is shown on the enclosed Plans 1 and 2 and 
generally consists of:- 
• Preventing right turn movements at Waterloo Road onto Pitt Street West and Zion Street junctions. 
• Preventing right turn movements at Pitt Street and Baptist Street onto Waterloo Road junctions. 
• Introducing MOVA, an intelligent traffic signal software system which automatically optimises traffic flows through the above junctions to minimise congestion. 
• To introduce a Bus Lane on Waterloo Road, northbound from the junction of Adelaide Street to the junction with Stirling Street. 
• Bus Lane in the outside lane on Waterloo Road, northbound from the junction of Adelaide Street to the junction with Baptist Street. 
• Bus Lane with no loading/unloading from 7:00am to 10:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm between Baptist Street and Stirling Street. 
• Introducing a bus layby on Waterloo Road, southbound just prior to the Zion Street junction. 
• Introducing a ‘Green Wave’ along Waterloo Road. 
• A Traffic Regulation Order to that effect will be advertised.
