Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter dropped into The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice to try out their costumes ready for an Easter Eggstravaganza at the Monkey Forest.
To raise money, a team of volunteers from the Tretham-based Hospice has organised a series of Easter events, in partnership with the Monkey Forest.
Look out for Alice and the Mad Hatter as they make a special visit to the visitor area of the Monkey Forest from the 29th March to 1st April.
And to keep everyone occupied during the Easter half-term, there will be stalls of fun and games every day from 10am to 4pm from 2nd April to 5th April.
Portmeiron is also supporting the event and has donated cups and mugs for a craft painting stall where children can decorate a piece of china and take it home.
There will also be a gooey tombola in a giant tea pot and a search to find a key for Alice game as well as face painting and entertainment.
Natalie Wood, Fundraiser for the Hospice who also tried out the Alice costume, said: “I hope the monkeys don’t want to come to our tea party. We have some really unusual games and activities for children so we are set for a crackin’ Easter at the Monkey Forest.”
