Jo Brand is making a special trip to Stoke-on-Trent for a one-off performance in aid of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
The award-winning comedian, actress and writer is appearing at the Victoria Hall, in Hanley, on Thursday, 14th March, at 7.30pm.
Jo is a celebrity champion for the Hospice and is a long-standing fundraiser. The last two concerts she held for the Hospice were sell-out successes and raised almost £40,000.
The star and writer of the BAFTA winning series Getting On, offered to hold this latest concert for the Hospice to help push it to its target of raising £2.4M to cover its annual running costs. All proceeds from the tickets sales will go directly to the Hospice, which supports nearly 200 children and their families from across Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
“I can’t imagine what it must be like to be in the position of a family which uses the Hospice. I have been a long term supporter of the Hospice and I am proud to be one of their celebrity champions.
“I contacted The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice and offered to do another charity concert because these families really need the specialist help and support the Hospice offers. I’ve performed in Stoke-on-Trent before and I am really looking forward to returning to the city.”
Tickets, priced £21 for over 16s only, are now on sale. Tickets are available from Katy Burgess-Lowe at The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice on 01782 654444 or email katy.burgess-lowe@
