A group of six ladies from Staffordshire Moorlands have raised £1400 for Douglas Macmillan Hospice after holding a lunch at Hunting Lodge, Addlington Hall in Macclesfield in October,
It is not the first time the group has raised money for charity, having organised events for local charities for the past 12 years.
Elaine Potts from Moorlands Fundraisers commented,
“We have raised money for local charities for the past 12 years. The lunch was a fantastic event, and it’s great to know the money raised is going to such a worthwhile cause.”
Liz Clarke, Head of Fundraising added,
“We cannot thank the ladies from Moorlands Fundraisers enough for putting on such a fantastic lunch and raising such an incredible sum of money.
“All monies raised will help the Hospice continue to care for local people of North Staffordshire facing life limiting illnesses.”
