Bank Street, Tunstall Assault - Police appeal for witnesses after group of men force their way into home

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Police in Tunstall are appealing for witnesses following a serious incident at a house in Tunstall last night (Thursday 3 May). 

At around 9pm two vehicles are believed to have pulled up at a house in Bank Street, Tunstall and a group of men then forced their way into the property.

An 18 year old man sustained an attack and was later taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting reference 732 of 3 May or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Update: 

The man remains in hospital in a stable condition. His injuries, although serious are not life threatening. The incident is believed to be family related.

Local Policing Team Commander, Chief Inspector Adrian Roberts added:

"This is a serious attack and we would like anyone who saw anything to contact us immediately.

Officers are currently conducting house to house enquiries and members of the community should be reassured that we believe this is a family related incident.

If you do have any concerns then please speak to one of our officers who are on patrol in the area."
