12 comments postedThere's a place called Hair off the Dog, just up the road from my practice- about 8 miles from the estate. The lady who runs it is a client of mine, and is due to bring me some cards this week- I'll let you know the number if it's of interest?
If you do use them, feel free to call in and have a look at the surgery while you are in the area! The kettel rarely goes cold.
James.
Thanks James,
The hair of the dog, i wonder if you could provide me with the address postcode as well as the number when you get the cards then my sat nav will take me there as I do not know the area well and we will definatly use the place as long as the price is not to steep, thankyou very much again

Hi
I own and operate a pet sitting and dog walking service in your area called "Home Sweet Home Pet Visiting Service". We don't do the shampoo and sets that maybe you were looking for but we do offer pop in visits while you are away or working and also offer a dog walking service. We care for all sorts of pets from cats and dogs to hamsters and rabbits and from birds and exotics to chickens!
If you would like more information please have a look at our web site www.homesweethomepets.co.uk or email me at homesweethomepets@hotmail.co.uk.

The Postcode is CW12 4HX, but I only know that from the client's record here. I tried calling today to see if the number to be given out is the same one I have- no answer, so I;ll try again tomorrow.
Its literally less than half mile from the practice, so about 8 miles from Bankeyfields. Not sure about prices, but I'll try to get the number tomorrow.
The number for Jackie, of Hair Off The Dog is 07769 502835. The address is on Padgbury Lane (postcode as above). I have never used the lady, so it is not a reccommendation, so much as a contact. But give her a call and see what you think.
Thanks,
james.

Hi, Thanks James, your info was spot on, unfortunatley after ringing the n.o and talking to the lady her place was booked up fo the next few months so she suggested somewhere in biddulph, but on our way back home, we passed the little pet place in goldenhill just set back off the road near bargain booze, forgot the name will get back to you on that, but they do grooming, we stopped enquired, very nice couple, booked the dog in, he was done yesterday, washed, trimmed if needed, sprayed, pampered, blow dried, £35 it was, two hours it took, were happy with the job done, to be recommended so happy ending after all.. thanks for your efforts, much appreciated.
went past in car the other day it has shut down now, shame!
the same people have now set up a small shop and groomers just on the crossroads in Kidsgrove.
Ithink these people have simply moved to kidsgrove- pampered poochies, just over he lgihts, on the left, opposite Barclays.
No worries.
what sort of dog do you have? Meant to ask that earlier, but got carried away!
You're still welcome to come and have a look round the practice, as is anyone else. What about, if its piddling down tomorrow, instead of the BBQ, a private 'open day' at the practice- there's a subway about 50 metres away which could suffice for refreshments! Actually, on reflection- what a good idea!
On my way home from work tonight, about 745pm, I had a call from someone who lives on our estates, to say she had just seen a cat get hit by a car on the up-hill side of RMW, below our roundabout. The lady had seen the cat get hit, and then it ran off into the bushes opposite our estate. All we know is that it was a tabby cat.
Despite our efforts to have a look through the bushes, we couldnt find it. If it is yours and comes home injured- contact any vet's emergency service-
I can be contacted on 07920 585519.
Many other practices (Warrendale, the Croft, Beechwood, Blue house, Rogers Brock and Barker, Friarswood, County Vets and Shires) all use the centralised out of hours service 'Vets Now' in stoke- 01782 417882.
