And who says Port Vale need digging out of a ditch
Yesterday my brother texted me asking if I wanted to go and watch the vale as his mate had the novo virus (or knowing Growy - the sniffles) and couldn't make it to the match.
With great apprehension I said yes, wondering what I was letting myself in for. For anyone who's not in the know about Port Vale at the minute, they've had one of their worst runs, only four home wins this season, a manager who has little understanding of tactics and a club bordering on admisitration. Fans ready to revolt, and coming of the back of a truly terrible Tuesday night home performance.
Well as it turns out, it was brilliant, not premiership football, but they played well as a team, came from behind to win 3-1 and left most fans shaking their heads wondering where there team went. No doubt they'll be back next match.
I heard a classic line during the match. In the first half there was a 10 minute display of terrible football, and one fella shouts "Your bloody rubbish." which was met by another witty reply from further back saying "nah, they're not that good! At least you can recycle rubbish"

Down the Vale!!
Matt i will if you wish delete this post for you, to save you the embarrassing looks from neighbours freinds etc etc.
I feel for your poor children, to have such a delusional parent is at best disturbing.
Oh back to normal last night i see, 1 swallow does not a summer make.....
Poor chap, if i see you sitting by the open space i will put something in your cap for you.......
Gordy
And I thought everything was back on track
After last Saturday, I thought Vale had turned the corner, made a decision, put it all behind them. Then they headed up to Merseyside and lose 2-0.
Don't phone child welfare just yet, Kie had a lucky escape and was over in Bakewell having a nice time, so he couldn't go, and Liam is far to little to sit through a footy match.
Will there be a Port Vale for them to watch (enjoy?!) as they grow up? Who knows, if they carry on this way I very much doubt it.
Blast from the past
