Whinging
Before I kicked off the site for good, I would like to say that those moaning about the building of Churchills new warehouse, that they put more than enough application forms up, they advertistised the fact of a new warehouse in the local press, they had a meeting at the community centre, apart from a banner, flying from a plane, cannot believe what more they could of done, could it be we are are a bunch of whingers, but are unwilling to do anything about it, as we are all too busy, YOU DECIDE.

You'll not be kicked off
You'll not be kicked off anything, everyone has a say on the site.
I don't think it's a bad thing having a moan, as sometimes you can test the water to see if you have some backing.
It's far better tackling a problem if you know you have some support. I for one have used (abused?) this site in my little rants.
But I do agree, we as a community can do more to help our selves by finding the right channels in which to enquire/complain to the correct channels.
There are right and wrong ways of going about it I guess, so if anyone can offer some advice on how to tackle an issue (post some urls and emails too).
is there any chance of
is there any chance of consulting the firm who were willing to build a wind turbine in Stoke, that was rejected, and asking if they will build it on Chatterley valley, very few residents, plenty of wind, ideal, I would say, drown out the noise from the D road, and the persistent honking of the train drivers, as they pass by.
Nice to see you back sharky,
Nice to see you back sharky, regarding the train horns I will need to blow the horn for a bit longer when going past the chatterley valley LOL. But on a serious note the train drivers will be using the horn for a genuine and safety reason, not just to hassle people.
Thanks But it will be short
Thanks
But it will be short lived, nice to know you will think of me when passing by in your train.
Sharky, we all knew that
Sharky, we all knew that Churchill,s were going to build on the site and I do not think anyone had a problem with that. It is the heigh of the structure that is causing consternation among the residents. It is nearly a big an eyesore as Ceramica in Burslem, the difference is I do not have to look at that every day.
The problem seem to be that
The problem seem to be that it is designated as part of the Chatterley Valley Scheme where no height restricitons apply, and would have been too costly to Churchhill's to have removed more earth and lower the impact on the Horizon, But like Chatterley road being re-opened so long as a few questioniares are sent out then the residents have been consulted no matter how low level that consultation involvement has been.
