Fancy some community spirit tonight ?
Well you all must be aware of my love of walking by now. So tonight I am going to indulge myself in one of my shorter bimbles. I like that word bimble. I will treck from the lofty hights of Heritage Park across the open space and through Swallows Rise. Across RMW and head up the High st towards Sandyford, a slight left behind the motorbike shop and onwards up Broadfield Rd. A bit dull this bit but the road gets better once you are past Goldenhill school and into the lane past The Cushion through Latebrook. The road meanders past the top of Chatterley Drive the a sharp turn left into Acres Nook. OOps we are by the Rifleman.Anyone up for a pint I will be in there about half nine. The walk takes about 30 mins ,taxi about 5 mins & £4.00. If you ring City Center Cabs 819819. Cheers !!!!

Steve - are you on comission for bringing new drinkers to the Rifle Man? And if not, put it to the landlord and see what he can do.
With the rate pubs are closing, even my old haunt The Brennans has closed in recent years - there should be more incetives to go in.
Saying that a pretty barmaid normally does the job.

I tried to cut through the other day, started by Golden Hill School and walked down past the Scout Hut. Got around the corner and came to what looked like a private house. I did a u-turn as my little lad was complaining about a dog barking, so never completed the cut through.
