Free Walking

I was rather irritated to read in yesterdays Sentinel that anyone wanting to Walk around Trentham Lake will be charged for the privelidge of doing so from the end of March. As most people who use this site on a regular basis will know that I enjoy a good walk. No the people who own Trentham Estate are now making a few bob and I dare say that they also make a proportion of that from families who buy refreshments once they have enjoyed their walk. So here is a few ideas for a nice lake walk for free.

Wesport Lake only a mile away visitor centre to open shortly.

Bathpool Park right on our door step.

Knypersly Resevior & Country Park.

Titersworth Resevior & visitor Center Nr Leek

Rudyard Lake . Cafe and minature railway if you get tired.
