The bankeyfields website started out as a plan between myself and Sharky to bring together his old bankeyfields website, the forum and the newsletters that had been sent out each quarter for the fast four years.

With some hard work the site was live in a few weeks, and we were able to take a giant stride forward. A lot of our efforts were thwarted however, as the NHW group stared to disband. Some leaving the estate, some having served for a number of years and felt it was time for a break.

As it turns out this was bad news for this site. Where crime alerts should have been posted a couple of times a week, were few and far between.

With a few debatable posts here and there I and a few other members might well have alienated other people from posting on the site.

So all, in all it's been a pretty rocky year for the bankeyfields website, with some mistakes made and learnt. We've had some good and fun times too.

Looking Forward
This however should be about to change. Over the next week or so, we should have some good news about a new Neighbourhood Watch scheme for the estates. A group of people are banding together to relight the fire under the Bankeyfields Neighbourhood Watch.

Don't worry nothing is been set in stone, but first steps have to be made and some ideas ironed out.

Bankeyfields NHW will be needing your support, both in terms of relaying information and asking people who can to lend a hand.

Changes to the site
The site won't change much in terms of what it does, however it will start relaying more information back to you the reader as what's happening, what you should be looking out for and trying to build that string sense of community.

Web Monkey won't be bowing out, I'm truly addicted to this site, but you'll be seeing a lot more authoritative input from other locals.

In fact some things are changing already. You may have noticed PC Talbot posting onto the site, Congleton Vets boss - James is a regular poster and is offering sound advice on the site ( if you have a question - don't be afraid to ask it).

We hope to get more input from the Fire service in regards t te building of the Sandyford firestation.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
