Congleton Vet Centre Open Day
Teddy Bear patients and creepy crawlies will be the stars of an unusual open day in South Cheshire.
Vet James Ede is throwing open the doors of Congleton Veterinary Centre on Sunday, November 30 to allow people to look behind the scenes.
James and his staff will show people around the state of the art practice’s in-house laboratory, X-Ray room and operating theatre where cuddly bears will play the role of patients for the day.
James opened Congleton Veterinary Centre for the first time in April, 2008. He said: “It is very important that pet owners are comfortable with the idea of visiting a vet.
“People do not normally get the chance to see where their beloved animals go when they are taken away to be operated on. I hope an open day will help to demystify the work we do and put owners’ minds at rest.”
Visitors to the open day on November 30 will be able to see fleas and other creepy crawly creatures through microscopes, view interesting X-rays, including a dog that swallowed two large stones, and get advice from experts representing major animal food and medical companies.
