Walking around Tunstall - The Federation of Stadium Communities (FSC)
The Federation of Stadium Communities (FSC) is a national charity, established in 1991.
The majority of professional sport stadia are located in areas of deprivation, characterised by low skills and training, poor access to services, poor health, high disability, crime, a poor environment and significant or high, minority ethnic populations.
FSC aims to improve the quality of life of all population groups in such stadium neighbourhoods both by the resolution of stadium related issues and problems and by exploring ways in which sports clubs, community groups and other appropriate agencies can work together to bring mutual benefit to the local area.

There is a walk every day of the week in different parts of the city. If you need some more copies please contact us on 01782 831900 and we will drop some off with you, or feel free to photocopy this one or download one from our website.
We aim to help your members to walk regularly, so if you have any particular needs or concerns, please let us know and we can tailor a walk to meet their requirements. We do of course want to make the walks sustainable so would you or any of your friends like to become trained as a walk leader and lead your own walks? We offer FREE walk leader training. Our only stipulation is that everyone who undergoes training commits to leading at least 4 walks within their first year
Do you know about our a walk incentive scheme?
Once a walker has taken part in 4 group health walks he/she is eligible for our Step 1 incentive scheme. They can apply by phone or on-line and we will then send them a card which will give 10% off Millets and Blacks outdoor shops in Hanley and 10% off Trespass and Rohan outdoor shops in Trentham, along with a copy of the ‘Closer to home, Circular Walks’ maps for their area.
After 12 walks we will automatically send them out our second step incentive card which gives 10% off a season ticket to Trentham gardens, 2 for 1 admission to Shugborough Hall and Gardens and free child admission to St. Chad’s Timewalk in Stafford. Our website will be updated with our latest offers
