Churchill China

Churchill China was established in 1795 in the heart of the world famous potteries, Stoke-on-Trent. Made up of several smaller family run companies 'Churchill' was adopted in 1984 as a name for the whole group. The company came into the ownership of the Roper family, who remain significant shareholders, in 1928. It has a long history of providing ceramics to both the hospitality and retail markets and has evolved over the years into a profitable and well respected company within the industry.

The company has steadily expanded and developed since then and is now a publicly listed company (1994) serving a wide range of markets on a global scale. Built on strong family values, Churchill China has a heritage that can be accredited to the passion of those involved and the skill and experience learnt over time. Churchill prides itself on being forward thinking, innovative and as well as having a strong manufacturing capability in the UK it has also excelled in sourcing, supply and logistics to meet market needs.

Being able to offer exciting brands has been key to Churchill's success and it is proud of the relationships it has with some of the most exciting opportunities available, most recently Jamie Oliver but also Disney, Cath Kidston and the RHS. It currently has no fewer than 13 brands including Jeff Banks for whom Churchill has been making products for over 15 years.

Churchill has products in some of the UK's best known retailers including Harrods, Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Debenhams and The National Trust. It's products are popular across the world, over 30% of sales are exported to 53 countries with leading export markets including USA, Australia and Europe.
