Not as child friendly as it used to be, but nice food
Not as child friendly as it used to be, as they've removed the swings and grass from the beer garden.
But saying that, it's bloody good grub they serve in there.
The Big Grill
went there and a friend had the Big Grill, and boy was it big. He had to take half of it home for the dog...

Beautiful Food
Lived just outside of Tunstall for nearly 5 years now and have always been put off by what appeared at the time to be louts sitting outside in the beer garden - how wrong was I !!!!!!! It is a lovely pub and the food for the price is absolutely amazing and very tasty. My husband and I along with my two boys have been frequently over the last couple of months and my husband now calls it his local and frequently wanders down with the dogs for a pint or two! it's a pity they dont make it more child friendly for smaller kids to give them something to do but all in all I would highly recommend a visit

Sharon, there used to be a nice bit of grass and a play area at the back but that went a couple of years back sadly.
However, I've got to agree, it's a nice pub, friendly atmosphere, and I consider it my local if I'm ever allowed out.
