Dougie Mac Opens Norton Shop
Douglas Macmillan Hospice has opened its 16th shop, in Norton based on Knypersley Road.
The opening hours will be between 11am and 7pm Monday to Saturday, Sunday 10am to 4pm with supporters being able to drop off donations between 9am and 5pm. The extended opening hours will make it easier for supporters to drop off donations.
Residents of Norton have been getting behind the new shop; Joanne Smith, who runs Slimming World classes at the Methodist church opposite the shop, has organised her slimmers to donate their old clothes to the shop.
Julie Parker, another Norton local, has organised a 'Bag it Bring it' with her colleagues at her workplace, as well as collecting unwanted clothes from her neighbours.
Yvonne Colclough, Head of Retail said,
Thank you so much to the people of Norton, who have supported us so well. Our new shop will be our 16th, and we're so happy it will be here in the heart of Norton.
