Fire Station

Now that the planning application for the fire station has been passed, their has been some core samples taken on the proposed site, but as yet we have not been told of the start date, we will relay more details when they are passed to us by the fire service. Further to this we have not had any communication with the fire service since early last year, so have no details at this stage.

New Fire Stations! The north of the County and City of Stoke on Trent will also benefit from a brand new additional community fire station at a new site in Sandyford, (Tunstall) next to the Focus Store on the Reginald Mitchell Way and also in the City, Hanley and Burslem stations are being rebuilt. Longton will be refurbished as part of the Fire and Rescue Authority’s Plan to invest in all of its stations across the County that do not fall into the PFI programme.

It has been released that two contractors are competing for the building of the fire station, which will now be built in two years time.

I have been in contact with a councillor who is involved with the fire authority, he will keep the community informed of any new developments.
