Fun things to do with the Kids : Hanley Forest Park - Park

I've not been to Hanley Forest Park for nearly 20 odd years, so was I can happily say I was gobsmacked by the uberpark that we've been to today. It's the Buckingham Palace of kids parks.

I know they've had a lot of regeneration money pumped into the place, as it must have cost a fortune to build.

There was a toddlers area, kids area, giant rope climbing frame with about 20 individual items. On top of this there’s a massive skater park. Oh, and there’s small really cute ducklings and signets to feed too.

If you are ever stuck for something to do with the kids, you can’t go far wrong from visiting here.

I've been told theres a fair

I've been told theres a fair bit of crime on Hanley Forest park, so after recommending it to all, I'd just like to add a take care.

All playgrounds attract

All playgrounds attract crime, try and walk through any park after seven, but if we get rid of every park, where would people go, in our streets, that's where. Police and the council cannot contain anti social behaviour, but if it is in one area, at least it can be kept to one small area, my father, before he died, used Hanley park to walk his dog, he came under constant abuse, you cannot use our park, objects were thrown at him, this was a guy in his seventies, it is the parents who are to blame, maybe this coincides with stopping of punishment in school. or is it lack of education.
